CHARLES GIFFORD
Managing Director and Co-Founder
Mr. Gifford has over 30 years of experience as a principal of companies in the waste industry and as a real estate and environmental developer. Mr. Gifford serves as CEO of Waste Options, Inc., and Waste Options Nantucket, LLC. His accomplishments include implementing a composting and recycling program on Nantucket, Massachusetts, which increased the percentage of recycled waste from 17% to 92%, giving it the highest recycling rate of any community in the United States. Mr. Gifford has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dickinson College and a Juris Doctor degree from Dickinson School of Law.
NELSON WIDELL
Marketing and Sales Director and Co-Founder
Mr. Widell has over 30 years of experience in the composting industry and is a founding member of the US Composting Council. Mr. Widell also co-founded the Bedminster Bioconversion Company, which used an earlier generation composting system, and has developed and constructed 12 composting facilities in the United States and overseas using the patented Bedminster Bioconversion rotary drum process. Mr. Widell has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dickinson College.
NATHAN WIDELL
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Widell is a managing director of Gifford Enterprises, which is involved in several industries, including real estate development, waste management/disposal/recycling, and food services. He was previously the CFO of Bedminster Bioconversion Corporation and CFO for Peipers & Company, an investment firm. Mr. Widell holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting/Finance from Rutgers University.
WHITNEY HALL, PE
Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Hall has over 30 years of civil engineering experience, including over 20 years with Stone and Webster. He currently serves as the President of Waste Options Nantucket, LLC, and has over 10 years of operational experience in the waste and composting industry. Mr. Hall holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of New Hampshire and a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Northeastern University.
